After opening up a 1-0 lead in the first inning, Miami allowed Auburn back into the game on a two-run home run in the top of the fourth inning. Nick Palfrey nailed a one-run home run in the bottom of the fourth to tie the score 2-2. The RedHawks were able to hold off the Tiger charge until the seventh inning when Auburn took the lead for good, scoring one run to make the score 3-2.

Amy Dudley led the 'Hawks at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a run. Abbey Arnold pitched a complete game for Miami. She struck out six batters, gave up eight hits and two earned runs.

There was a 45-minute rain delay between the first and second innings.

Miami's other game on Friday against Indiana, which was pushed back to 7 p.m. (CST) was canceled due to poor field conditions from rain.
