WILMINGTON, N.C. (February 27, 2000) -- Miami University's softball team rebounded after dropping its' first two games of the Seahawk Classic to claim the round-robin championship Sunday, defeating UNC Charlotte 2-0.

Keri Brisnehan went 2-for-3 with an RBI and one run scored, while Angie Gerber also had two hits in three at-bats for the 'Hawks (3-2).

Amber Arnold picked up the victory on the mound, giving up only one hit and striking out five batters.

Chrissy Martini was named Tournament MVP, while Brisnehan, Laura Fulton and Arnold earned all-tournament accolades.
