OXFORD - The Miami University softball team split its doubleheader with 2007 NCAA Tournament participants, Wright State, on Tuesday, losing the first game, 3-1, but fighting back in the second contest with a 5-1 victory.

With three RBI in the second game, senior outfielder Breanna Robinson tied Leslie Macedo's single-season record for runs batted in with her 37th of the year. Robinson went 2-for-3 in the game, doubling and hitting her eighth home run of the season.

Sophomore pitcher Shalise Lugo quieted the Raiders' bats in game two, allowing one just run in seven innings. Lugo held WSU's Jherica Williams without a hit, bringing her hit streak to an end at 27 games.

Sarah Billstrom, Alicia Hogl and Meghan Mawn each had multi-hit games for the RedHawks, with all three driving in runs during the doubleheader.

The Red and White return to conference action this weekend, as they head to Buffalo for two games on Friday, and face off against Kent State on Saturday and Sunday before making the trip back to Oxford. Game one of Friday's doubleheader is set for a 1 p.m. start time.
