Box Score

OXFORD - The RedHawks were unable to overcome a three-run third inning by Ball State, as Miami dropped just its third Mid-American Conference game of the season, 3-1.

Sophomore pitcher Meredith Linch tossed her second-consecutive complete game for the RedHawks, allowing only three runs on eight hits. The loss dropped Linch's record to 11-9 on the year.

For the second day in a row, senior outfielder Breanna Robinson drove in Miami's only run, bringing in Halle Popson from third base on a double to left field. Robinson needs to drive in four more runs this season to break Leslie Macedo's all-time record for RBI in a season (37).

Miami will take the field once again on Tuesday, as the RedHawks welcome Wright State to the Miami Softball Stadium for a doubleheader, with a start time for the first game set for 3 p.m. Tuesday is "Military Appreciation Day" at the Miami Softball Stadium.
