RICHMOND, Ind. -

The Miami University RedHawks softball team won the second game of a doubleheader at Eastern Kentucky University on Tuesday afternoon after falling in game one.

Miami was shut out 8-0 in game one, managing just three hits against the EKU hurlers but bounced back with a 10-8 win in eight innings in game two.

In game two, the MU bats came alive, plating three first inning runs. Breanna Robinson and Alicia Hogl continued their hot hitting. Robinson was 3-for-5 with three RBI and three runs, including a home run and a double. Hogl was 4-for-5 with two runs and two RBI with a double of her own.

Kimberly Williams added a 3-for-4 performance with a run.

Meredith Linch got the win in game two after striking out five batters.

The RedHawks return home for a Friday MAC doubleheader against Bowling Green beginning at 1 p.m.
