OXFORD, Ohio - The Miami University softball team swept the Ohio University Bobcats on Saturday afternoon after winning game two of a Saturday twinbill, 5-2, behind a fifth-inning grand slam from senior leftfielder Christine Bills.

Bills ended the game 2-for-3 with a run and four RBI. Jenna McGivney had the other MU run-batted-in on fifth-inning double before Bills' blast down the left-field line. Breanna Robinson and Kat Russette also added hits for Miami, while Meghan Mawn, Russette, Lindsay Randall and Kim Williams all scored runs.

Sophomore right-hander Shalise Lugo got the win for the RedHawks, going all seven innings, allowing two earned runs on seven hits with four strike outs and a walk.

Miami is off to a 4-0 start in the Mid-American Conference with a 12-14 mark overall. Ohio is now 2-2 in the MAC and 12-11 overall.
