2012: Appeared in 26 games for Miami, starting 20 of them ... saw most of playing time at catcher and as a pinch-hitter ... hit .231 on the season with nine RBI ... went 2-for-3 with three RBI in the game against Dayton (Mar. 16) ... hit first career triple against Butler (Mar. 22) ... was 1-for-1 with two RBI in win vs. Eastern Michigan (Apr. 22) ... drove in two RBI in pinch-hit appearance in win at Buffalo (Apr. 27).

2011: Appeared in 44 games , and started 32 ... hit .231 on the season with eight RBI and six runs scored ... really picked things up in MAC play, hitting .324 in 16 conference games ... led team with six doubles in MAC-only games ... was 2-for-3 with a season-high three RBI and one run scored in win over Wright State (Feb. 25) ... went 4-for-4 with three doubles, one RBI and one run scored in win over Toledo (May 1) ... Rice was only player on RedHawks to record four-hit game during season.

2010: Appeared in 37 games for the RedHawks, starting 27 mostly as the designated player ... finished third on team with a .311 batting average, recording 23 hits in 74 at-bats ... led the RedHawks with an on base percentage of .446 ... was 2-for-3 in first career start at Samford (Feb. 21) ... hit first career home run at Buffalo (Apr. 18) ... went 2-for-2 with a career-high four RBI against Buffalo (May 13) in the RedHawks' 16-1 MAC Tournament victory ... drove in the game winning run in extra innings against Central Michigan (May 14) in the MAC Tournament.

High School: Four-year varsity letterwinner for Archbishop Hoban in Akron, Ohio ... named All-Ohio second team in 2009 after earning honorable mention in 2008 ... 2009 North Coast League MVP and a member of the first team all four years in high school ... led Grand Slam club team to fourth place finish at ASA "A" Nationals in 2008 ... had a career average over .400 in high school ... also was on varsity bowling team for two years.
