Prior to Miami: Garnered all-conference, all-district and all-area accolades three years ... named to the Jon Bob All-Star Team as a senior ... averaged eight strikeouts per game as a senior ... also sported a .480 batting averaged and a .560 on-base average as a senior at Forest Hills Northern ... posted 246 strikeouts during her senior campaign ... a four-year letterwinner in softball for the Huskies ... captained the softball team her senior season ... also earned two letters in basketball ... presented the Gold Circle Award by Forest Hills Northern all four years for maintaining a 3.8 GPA or better ... on the Honor Roll ... graduated as a Distinguished Academic Leader with a 3.8 GPA or better.

Personal: Born March 11, 1981 (turns 20 during season) ... daughter of Kenneth and Shyle Kermode ... zoology major ... sister, Kelly, played softball at Francis Marion University (S.C.).
