Coach's Comments: "Tonja has tremendous leadership qualities as well as being a terrific athlete. Her speed, strength and tackling make her one of the MAC's top one-on-one defenders, and she was truly worthy of her all-MAC honors last season."

As a Junior: Started each of the 20 games she played in during the year ... recorded three assists while handling the free kick responsibilities for the RedHawks ... totaled two assists in Miami's 2-1 upset of previously unbeaten Buffalo ... tallied first collegiate point when she assisted on a Shaedyn Cousino goal in Miami's 3-2 double overtime win at Kent State ... named to the MAC all-tournament team ... honored as a second-team all-MAC selection ... received first-team all-Ohio plaudits.

As a Sophomore: Returned from injury to play in nine games and start seven ... took five shots on the season.

As a Freshman: Started 19 games and played in all 20 for the RedHawks ... took seven shots.

Prior to Miami: Earned first-team all-conference and all-Dayton honors as a senior ... served as team captain as a senior ... honorable mention all-state selection in 1995 ... two-year letterwinner in basketball and four-year letterwinner in track ... member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Born Nov. 25, 1977 ... daughter of Nancy Weimer ... majoring in biological education.
