Final Stats

Athens, Ohio - Miami University's women's soccer team will head to the MAC Championship for the third consecutive year after defeating Eastern Michigan 4-1.

The RedHawks took the first lead of the game when Danielle Altiero headed in a cross kick from Katie Milligan at 27:51 in the first half. Milligan then led off the second half with an unassisted goal.

Less than one minute later, Eastern Michigan cut the lead to 2-1 with a Jessica Hupe goal. Hupe's goal ended Miami's 650 minute shutout streak.

Miami's Danielle Berkemeier scored a penalty kick at 71:33 followed by an unassisted goal late in the game to clinch the victory. Miami goalkeeper Katie Karlander had 5 saves for the day.

With today's win, Miami remains undefeated in MAC Tournament play, with a record of 7-0-1. The RedHawks are now 13-6-1 while Eastern Michigan ended its season with a record of 15-6-0.

Miami will play either Ohio or Central Michigan on Sunday, November 11. Kickoff is scheduled for noon in Athens, Ohio.
