Final Stats

MUNCIE, Ind. - Miami dropped its final game of the regular season 1-0 to Ball State Thursday afternoon, leaving the RedHawks as the No. 8 seed in the Mid-American Conference tournament for the second straight year.

Krista Pace posted seven saves -- including four in the first half -- but the Cardinals were able to find the net in 58th minute. Emily Rein headed in a goal on assists by Katelyn Alexander and Abby Milillo.

The story of this game, however, was that BSU leapfrogged Miami for the No. 7 seed. The RedHawks now must travel to regular-season champion Toledo on Sunday at 1 p.m., looking to avenge a 3-1 defeat there on Oct. 10. The Rockets have also won the last two MAC tournaments.

The winner of Sunday's match advances to the semifinals of the MAC Tournament on Nov. 7.
