OXFORD, Ohio - Miami closed its home schedule with a 4-1 loss on Sunday to Ohio at Miami Soccer Field.

Ohio took the lead in the 1st minute when Sara Seitz scored off an Amy Lower cross to the corner of the 18-yard box. Erika Schmitt extended the Bobcat lead to two off a cross from Jasmine Merith.

Miami would battle back in the 17th minute when Sara Lund found the net on a pass from Jodi Zwingelberg, but that is all Miami could register.

Lower and Merith each knocked in goals to close scoring in the game and extending the Ohio lead to 4-1. Lower's goal came in the 26th minute and Merith found the net in the 57th minute.

Next weekend, Miami will travel to take on Northern Illinois on Friday, Oct. 24 at 5 p.m. in DeKalb, Ill., and then to Western Michigan on Sunday, Oct. 26 at 12 p.m. in Kalamazoo, Mich.
