OXFORD, Ohio - The Miami University soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision in an exhibition to Indiana University on Friday in Bloomington, Ind.

The exhibition was divided into three 30 minute periods with Indiana scoring the only goal in the 48th minute of the game. Krista Pace (Jr., Toronto, Ontario), the RedHawks career saves leader, played the first two periods recording six saves surrounding the lone goal. Rachelle Boff (So., Naples, Fla.) played the finals period of action.

Stephanie Wilson (Sr., Elma, N.Y.), Jodi Zwingelberg (Jr., Elgin, Ill.) and Stephanie Laser (Jr., Hinsdale, Ill.) each posted a shot on goal for the RedHawks. Miami had several chances with seven corner kicks and four in the final period of action. Freshmen Alexandra Karlsson (Malmo, Sweden) and Haley Clark (London, Ontario) both started for the RedHawks.

Miami will open the regular season Friday, Aug. 22 in Oxford at 5 p.m. against Morehead State. The RedHawks are 6-5 all-time in season openers.
