Longstreth NFHCA All-Region Teams

CHANDLER, Ariz. – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association(NFCHA) announced its Longstreth/NFCHA all region teams Wednesday, and junior back Katie Brightwell was named to the All-West Region second team, the fifth consecutive year that at least one RedHawk has made one of the teams.

Brightwell was one of the top goal scorers this season with eight. She previously was named first team All-MAC, joining her sister Christine and Danielle Gaynor.

Miami finished the season 14-7 and 7-3 in the MAC. The 14 wins by the RedHawks in 2008 represent the team’s most victories since they won 14 in 1983.
