OXFORD, Ohio - The Miami University field hockey team advanced to the semi-final round of the Mid-American Conference Tournament with a 3-1 win over Missouri State on Thursday afternoon at the Miami Turf Field.

Senior Alyssa Nye will eventually end her career as one of the most prolific offensive players in Miami history and added to her resume today with two goals, both unassisted. Freshman Christine Brightwell had the other RedHawk goal with an assist from junior Teja Kammler.

Junior Megan Stengel earned the win in goal with three saves, while her squad outshot the Bears 33-6 in the game. Miami also led in penalty corners, 19-5.
