OXFORD, Ohio -This afternoon on the Miami Turf Field the Miami field hockey team dropped its sixth-straight decision by a 2-0 count to Mid-American Conference foe Central Michigan. Registering the Chippewas two goals were Michell Fogle and Janette Spero.

Fogle got the Chippewas on the board midway through the first half at 19:26 when she scored on a penalty corner. It was Central Michigan's only successful penalty corner in five attempts during the game.

Despite one of Miami's highest offensive outputs of the season with 11 shots, the Chippewas added an insurance goal to their tally at 25:08 in the second period. Claiming rights to Central Michigan's second goal was Spero.

Collecting the victory in goal for CMU was Janelle Spero who stopped all three RedHawk shots that were on goal. Sophomore Kerri Orr (San Diego, Calif./Serra) recorded her fourth straight 10-plus save outing with 11 stops, though saw her record drop to 1-9-0.

The RedHawks continue their search for a MAC victory this week as they host Louisville on Wednesday, October 9 at 6 p.m.
