Baltimore, Md. - The Miami University (0-2) field hockey team dropped a 2-0 contest to Georgetown at UMBC Stadium this Saturday afternoon. The RedHawks were outshot 15-8 despite collecting seven penalty corners compared to the Hoya's five.

With seven penalty corners in the first half the Red and White dominated the offensive end of the field until the Hoya's chalked up a goal with a little over 10 minutes remaining in the period. Scoring the Hoya's goal was Jessica Quinn with an assist from Shelby Samperton.

Georgetown continued to pour on the offense in the second half as it scored its second goal of the game only 12 minutes into the period. Dionna Quinn registered the goal and collecting her second assist of the game was Samperton. The Hoya's offense was so dominating that they rattled off seven shots before Miami managed to fire its first shot.

The RedHawks return to UMBC Stadium tomorrow afternoon as they wrap up their East Coast trip with a 1 p.m. contest against UMBC.
