GO RedHawks!

Today was a little disheartening for the fact that we had to leave Montreux and beautiful Lake Geneva. Our time there was absolutely amazing. As we were making the bac trip back from last night's game, it began to storm. It was pretty cool to see because with each bolt of lightning, we could see the silhouette of the Alps. It was by far the neatest thunderstorm I've ever been in.

It was still raining and cool this morning when we woke up. This morning was nice because we got to sleep in a little. For our last meal in Switzerland, the majority of us grabbed some McDonald's. It tasted pretty much the same as back home, which was good because I think everyone was ready for a break from foreign foods.

After McDonald's, we hopped on the bus to make the 3-4 hour ride to Freiburg, Germany. To pass some of that time, we talked about what we thought Maria should name her baby girl. We came up with some interesting ideas. My personal favorite, as Maria knows, is Kourtney. Mike said he's starting a pool to see who can guess her due dates as well as the child's name, so we'll see who comes out ahead in that one.

With 11 girls, you can imagine how many restroom stops have taken place throughout our trip. Katie probably has the best restroom story yet. Today she went into a public restroom only to find out that the "sit-down" toilets cost one frank to use! She didn't figure she would be too successful at using the "stand-up" toilets for free, so she had to hold on for awhile.

Once we got to Freiburg, we settled in at a hotel called Dorint. Then we all walked a few blockes into town. There were a lot of people out and about around the city. Heather, Jana, Beth, Andrea, Kim, Kim and I walked to a Mexican restaurant called Enchiladas for dinner and stopped for ice cream on the way back to the hotel. Our biggest problem being on our own for dinner was whether or not we were supposed to tip our waitress or if it was already included in the bill. After about 10 minutes of arguing, we finally just asked the waitress, and she helped us out.

Tonight we are planning on getting to bed early, so we are rested and ready to play tomorrow night. Did I hear someone say "4-0"?

We want to thank Mary Ann Myers and Pam Wettig for their contributions toward our meals today.
