CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference released its preseason women's basketball poll Thursday at its annual media day event at Quicken Loans Arena, and Miami University was picked to finish second in the East Division behind Bowling Green.

The poll voters consist of the coaches, sports information directors, sport administrators and members of the media.
In addition to being picked to win the East Division, Bowling Green was also selected as the winner of the MAC Tournament. Ball State was picked the winner of the MAC West Division, with Northern Illinois coming in second.

The RedHawks take the court for an exhibition against the Hoosier Lady Stars on November 9, at 2 p.m. in Millett Hall. Miami opens its season November 14, at Eastern Illinois. Game time is scheduled for 8 p.m. (EST).
