CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced Thursday its preseason All-MAC teams for women’s basketball. Senior point guard Jenna Schone was named to the East Division squad after a vote by coaches, sports information directors and the media.

Last season, Schone averaged 13.9 points and 5.1 assists per game as she helped lead the RedHawks to their first NCAA Tournament appearance. She was a second-team All-MAC selection and a member of the 2008 MAC Tournament team. Schone also set Miami's single-season record for three-pointers made with 84.

Joining Schone on the East Division team are Kara Murphy of Akron, Lauren Prochaska of Bowling Green, Anna Kowalska of Kent State and Chandra Myers of Ohio. The All-MAC West Division preseason squad consists of Porchia Green and Emily Maggert of Ball State, Britni Houghton of Central Michigan, Ali Clifton of Toledo and Tiera DeLaHoussaye of Western Michigan.

The RedHawks take the court for an exhibition against the Hoosier Lady Stars on November 9, at 2 p.m. in Millett Hall. Miami opens its season November 14, at Eastern Illinois. Game time is scheduled for 8 p.m. (EST).
