Oxford, Ohio - Miami University added to its coaching staff this week with the hiring of Cristal Randolph as Director of Basketball Operations, head coach Maria Fantanarosa announced Friday.

"Cristal is a positive addition to our staff," Fantanarosa said. "She is eager to learn and brings a strong knowledge of the game from her playing experience."

Randolph played four years for Florida Atlantic (2003-07), appearing in 114 games, while starting 33. She helped lead the Owls to the NCAA tournament as a junior in 2006 and became a regular starter her senior year, averaging 7.4 points per game. After graduating Randolph spent a year at FAU as an admission coordinator, responsible for recruiting students to attend the university. She moves onto the RedHawks as she looks to begin a coaching career.

"I am excited to work with the Miami University coaching staff," said Randolph. "It's a great opportunity, and I am glad to back working with the sport that I love."
