In an effort to raise funds for this summer's European tour, Miami University's women's basketball program is hosting the 2002 Miami Women's Basketball Golf Scramble at Indian Ridge Golf Course on April 27. The scramble will help pay for for a tour in which the RedHawks play four games against professional teams in France and Switzerland. Details of the scramble follow:
WHEN & WHERE
-Saturday, April 27, 2002, starting at 10 a.m.
-Indian Ridge Golf Course on Rt. 27 south of Oxford
WHO:
-ANYONE...especially Miami alumnae and friends of the program
-Beginners as well as serious golfers welcome
FORMAT:
-Four-person golf scramble (singles invited)
-Men's, women's or co-ed teams
WHAT IS INCLUDED:
-Green fees for 18 holes of championship golf
-Riding card and range balls
-Complimentary soft-drinks and admission to the cookout
SCHEDULE:
-9-10 a.m. Registration
-10 a.m. Tee times off holes #1 and #10
-4 p.m. (approximate starting time) Cookout and Silent Auction
DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION:
-Deadline for registration is the end of the business day on Friday, April 19, 2002
PRIZES:
-Low net score, Longest Drive, Closest to Pin
