OXFORD, Ohio - The 2008 MAC Tournament Champion Miami University women's basketball team will face the University of Louisville in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament in Bridgeport, Conn. on Sunday, March 23 at 2:30 p.m. ET.

The 13th-seeded RedHawk will tip-off against the 4th-seeded Cardinals in the New Orleans Region.

Louisville is 24-9 overall and 10-6 in the BIG EAST. The Cardinals fell narrowly, 69-59, to overall top-seed Connecticut in the conference championship game on Tuesday. UL finished fifth in the BIG EAST regular season standings.

The RedHawks, 23-10 overall and 12-4 in the MAC, enter their first NCAA Tournament undefeated in the month of March and winners of six-straight and 12 of their last 13 contests.

The game will be broadcast on the ESPN family of networks.

The winner of Sunday's match-up will face the winner of the Sunday's Kansas State (5th seed) vs. Chattanooga (12th seed) game on Tuesday, also in Bridgeport. Miami faced Chattanooga earlier in the year, falling 88-63 to the Mocs without an injured Amanda Jackson, Miami's all-time leading scorer.
