Stephen Brough joins the womens basketball team after serving as an
administrative assistant for two years on the mens basketball staff.
A 1996 graduate of Miami, Brough served as a student manager with the
mens team during the 1996-97 season and made the transition to
administrative assistant the following year. While working with Miamis
mens program, Brough was responsible for arranging team travel, developing
recruiting materials, coordinating tape exchanges, writing scouting reports
and assisting with team practices.
Outside of Miami, Brough has gained valuable coaching experience since
1996 as a basketball camp instructor at a number of prominent camps,
including those of Wake Forest, Iowa, Southwest Missouri State, Cincinnati,
North Carolina State and Virginia.
"I am eager to work with a young coach that has the drive and potential
that Stephen possesses," says head coach Maria Fantanarosa. "Hes a Miami
graduate that has a great deal of pride in the university and will be an
excellent addition to our program."
Brough, who earned his masters degree in secondary education last
December, will assist in recruiting, scouting, alumni relations and
marketing, while assisting in developing the interior players.
