OXFORD, Ohio - Miami University's men's cross country team battles the nation's best this weekend as they travel to Terre Haute, Ind., for the NCAA Pre-Nationals Saturday, Oct. 18. The RedHawks will be in the Blue race which is scheduled to at 12:10 p.m.
In addition to Miami, teams competeing in the Blue Race are Alabama, Arizona, Butler, Cal Poly, California, Charlotte, Dartmouth, Dayton, Eastern Kentucky, East Carolina, East Tennessee State, Florida State, Georgia, Harvard, Iowa, Loyola (Ill.), Marquette, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, NC State, Nebraska, New Mexico, Northern Arizona, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Ohio, Oklahoma State, Providence, Southern Utah, Syracuse, Tennessee, UC-Irvine, UC-Riverside, U. Mass, Utah State, Washington State, Weber State, William and Mary, Wyoming.
The men's White Race, which is scheduled to start at 12:50 p.m., features Air Force, Arizona State, Auburn, BYU, Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Colorado, Colorado State, Columbia, Cornell, Eastern Michigan, Florida, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Illinois State, Indiana, Indiana State, Iona, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Liberty, Louisville, Michigan State, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Morehead State, Oakland, Penn, Purdue, Stanford, Texas, Tulsa, UC-Davis, UC-Santa Barbara, UCLA, UTEP, Virginia, Washington, Western Kentucky.

Running against some of the top programs in the nation, the Miami University men's cross country team finished 13th out of 25 teams and had five RedHawks finish in personal-record times at the Notre Dame Invitational in Notre Dame, Ind.
Pat Sovacool finished a team-best 29th with a time of 24:20. Kevin Silver ran a personal-best of 24:38, good for 53rd place. Paul Krebs also ran a personal-best at 25:02 and finished 94th, while Michael Perry took 95th at 25:03. Chris Dennison ended in a personal-best of 25:01 and took 102nd.
Robbie Fisher was another RedHawk that PR'ed with a time of 25:11 and took 106th.
Ryan Dezso rounded out the personal-bests for Miami with a time of 25:18, finishing 118th.
Brad Untrauer finished in an uncharacteristic eighth-place finish on the team, taking 124th with a time of 25:22. Adam Martin ended in 25:46, good for 25:46.
