OXFORD, Ohio - The Miami University men's cross country team continues to be ranked ninth in the Great Lakes Region by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

The RedHawks won their only team scoring event of the '07 season thus far, the Dayton 5K Challenge, and took the top nine spots at the Great American Legends Race, a non-scoring event held at Purdue University.

Junior Pat Sovacool has led Miami to date, winning both of those events and garnering two MAC Runner of the Week awards.

Only one MAC opponent is ranked higher than MU, with Eastern Michigan ranking seventh, while Kent State and Central Michigan are ranked 13th and 14th, respectively.
