Sovacool named MAC Runner of the Week for second-straight week

OXFORD, Ohio - Miami University cross country runner Pat Sovacool has been named the MAC Runner of the Week for the week of September 3-9.
Sovacool (Lakewood, Ohio-St. Ignatius) won the men's award after earning his second-straight first-place finish. Sovacool finished more than a minute ahead of the next non-Miami runner with a time of 25:20 at the Great American Legends Race on the campus of Purdue University. The RedHawks took the top nine spots in the race. Sovacool captured the conference honor for the second-straight week.
The Miami men's squad was ranked ninth in the Great Lakes Region in the latest USTFCCCA pre-season poll and will next compete on September 28 at the George Mason Invitational.
