OXFORD, Ohio - After his second-straight win of the 2008 season, Miami University senior Pat Sovacool has won his second-straight Mid-American Conference Cross Country Runner of the Week Award.
Sovacool won his second-straight Great American Legends Invitational last Friday with a time of 25:55.89, just edging teammate Kevin Silver for individual honors. Sovacool led the RedHawks to a win, defeating Ohio State, Butler, Central Michigan, Purdue and Taylor. The Lakewood, Ohio native has now won five straight races that were not conference championships or NCAA regional, national, or pre-nationals, over the past two years.
The RedHawk men's cross country team will next run at the University of Tennessee Invitational on Friday, Sept. 19 at 6:15 p.m. CT.
