WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (Sept. 2) -- Brian Godsey, Jerry Claunch and Adam Cross finished first, second and third to lead Miami University's men's cross country team at the Purdue Open on Saturday. The RedHawks placed seven runners in the Top 10 and 11 harriers in the Top 20. There was no team scoring.

Godsey's first-place finish came in a time of 26:17.00 followed by Claunch in 26:47.60. Cross took third in a time of 26:55.80. Nathan McClintock and Ernie Ziegler placed sixth and seventh for the RedHawks, while Ryan Clark and Jeff Godsey rounded out the Top 10 finishes, placing ninth and 10th, respectively.

The RedHawks return to action next Saturday, hosting the Miami Invitational at 10 a.m.
