OXFORD, Ohio - Miami University sophomore high jumper Travis Brumm has been named to the All-Mideast Region team by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for his performance at the NCAA Mideast Regional Championship last Friday in Fayetteville, Ark.

Brumm finished in a tie for sixth place after missing out on a trip to the NCAA Championships by falling in a six-person sudden-death jump off to Jason House of Southern University who cleared 6-11 while all others missed at the height. Brumm ended with a height of 6-9 and climbed to sixth place after entering the competition ranked 15th in the region.

The sophomore from Fort Wayne, Ind. took sixth in the MAC Championships, earning 2.5 team points. He had a season-best clearance of 6-10 ¾, set at the All-Ohio Championships at the University of Cincinnati on April 19.
