Also in the field events, Dan Beach is capable of scoring in both the hammer, where he is seeded third at 194-1 and the discus, where he is ranked 10th behind fellow Miamian John Gausmann who is ranked seventh at 157-8.

Kevin Dwyer enters the decathlon as the conference's top ranked performer with a personal best of 7240 points.

In the long jump, Josh Rees is seeded third at 23-5 1/4, while Travis Brumm is ranked fourth in the high jump with a season-best clearance of 6-10 3/4.

Additional RedHawks that can earn MU significant points include Adam Ruiz in the shot put, Jason Coniglio in the 100 and 200 meters, and Cedric Diakabana in the 800 meters. Matt Kessler is seeded sixth in the 400 hurdles, while the 4X400 and 4X100 relays are seeded fourth and fifth, respectively.

The RedHawks finished seventh one season ago at the MAC Championships but will look to improve on that place with a strong showing at BGSU.
