OXFORD, Ohio - Coming off a second-place finish at the Miami Invitational, the Miami University men's track and field team travels to the All-Ohio Championships this weekend in Cincinnati. Slated for April 20-21 on the campus of the University of Cincinnati, the All-Ohio Championships features 28 teams from the Buckeye State, including 12 Division I schools.

All 21 NCAA track and field events are slated for competition at the All-Ohio Championships, including the decathlon and 10,000 meters. Miami is one of 12 Division I teams vying for the overall title and will have to contend against a field that includes Mid-American Conference rivals Akron, Kent State and Ohio and Miami Valley Rivals Cincinnati, Dayton, Xavier and Wright State.

Though the season's first three outdoor meets, Miami has had a pair of athletes qualify for the 2007 NCAA MidEast Regional, which will be held May 25-26 in Columbia, Mo. Senior high jumper Tom Herrmann, who cleared a career-best 6-10 3/4 at the Wake Forest Open, will be making his first career appearance at the regional meet, while freshman Pat Sovacool, who regionally-qualified with his top 1,500-meter time of 3:47.37 at the Miami Invitational, will be making his second straight regional-meet appearance.
