OXFORD, Ohio - Coming off a third-place finish at last weekend's Southern Ohio Cup, the Miami University men's track and field team travels to Cincinnati on Saturday for the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational. The meet runs from 11:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Gettler Stadium.

Heading into Saturday's 11-team meet, Miami has had numerous athletes turn in notable individual performances. Sophomore Pat Sovacool won a pair of distance events at last weekend's Southern Ohio Cup, placing first in the 800 and 1,500 meters, and he was Miami's top placing athlete at the season-opening Wake Forest Open with his second-place finish in the 1,500 meters. Senior Tom Herrmann also has impressed in the season's first two meets, as he regionally-qualified with a career-best high jump of 6-10 at Wake Forest and followed by winning the high jump with a leap of 6-8 3/4 at the Southern Ohio Cup.

Saturday's meet is one of three meets for the RedHawks in April. Following the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational, the RedHawks host the Miami Invitational (April 14) before traveling to All-Ohio Championships (April 21).
