Miami Men's Track and Field Holds Seventh After Day Two at MAC Championships Adam Cross Adam Cross

The Miami men's track and field team continued its work at the Mid-American Conference Championships in Mt. Pleasant, Mich. on the Lyle Bennett Track on Friday as they nearly doubled their score from Thursday for a 17 points on Friday. The 3,000-meter steeplechase was Miami's strongest event as they took home eight points between senior Ryan Clark (Eaton, Ohio/Tennessee) and senior Adam Cross (Rochester Hills, Mich./Rochester Adams).

Clark ran Miami's eighth fastest time in the steeplechase as he crossed the line in 9:02.67 for fourth. Cross came in sixth for Miami as he crossed the finish line in 9:09.08.

After day one, Miami retains seventh place with 17 points. The host school, Central Michigan, holds the lead with 58 points after day two.
