KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - After the first day of the decathlon at the SeaRay Relays, Miami University senior Ceith Creekmur (Naperville, Ill.) stands fourth through five events. At the Tom Black Track at LaPorte Stadium, Creekmur turned in a fourth-place score of 3,705, only 195 points behind overall leader Chris Weinberg (3,900).

Creekmur notched a pair of runner-up finishes in the two jumps, turning in a second-place height in the high jump (6-6 1/4) and a second-place distance in the long jump (23-1 1/4). Creekmur also tallied a sixth-place time in the 100 meters (11.14), an eighth-place distance in the shot put (37-3 3/4) and a ninth-place time in the 400 meters (52.81).

Creekmur wraps up competition tomorrow at 4 p.m. in Knoxville, Tenn. Creekmur is slated to participate in the 110-meter hurdles, discus, pole vault, javelin and 1,500 meters on the second day of the decathlon. Live results can be found at www.tenntrack.com.
