GRANVILLE, Ohio--Eight RedHawks claimed first-place finishes at the Denison University Big Red Indoor Track & Field Last Chance Qualifier on Friday evening. There was no team scoring for the event.

The RedHawks took the top three spots in the 200 meters with junior Stefan Flessa winning the event in a time of 0:23.47. Junior Chris Falkowski recorded a time of 0:23.64 to place second, while freshman Kyle Alexander finished third in 0:23.66.

Juniors Dan Beach and Jason Bittner completed a one-two finish in the shot put for the RedHawks. Beach logged a throw of 47-09.00 to win the event, while Bittner recorded a distance of 45-08.25 to place second.

Miami also had one-two finishes in the 55 dash and the mile run. Junior James Harris clocked a time of 0:06.68 to finish first in the 55 dash and Alexander notched a time of 0:06:76 to place second. Sophomore Sam Cosgrove ran a time of 4:21.95 to finish first in the mile, while sophomore Ryan Tamm clocked a time of 4:28.04 to place second.

Freshman Travis Brumm posted a height of 6-06.00 to win the high jump, junior Jake Kuhner cleared a height of 15-07.00 to win the pole vault, freshman Joey Thien ran a time of 0:51.61 to place first in the 400 meters and junior Michael Veatch won the 3,000 meters in a time of 8:28.72.

Miami returns to action March 23-24 at the Wake Forest Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C.
