COLUMBUS, Ohio - Jake Dunkleberger (Smyrna, Ga./The Lovett School) and Chris Corgiat (Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Xavier) were among a solid core of underclassmen that led Miami University's men's track & field team to a strong showing at the Ohio State Invitational. The OSU Invite was the RedHawks' final indoor meet and was a non-scoring meet.
Dunkleberger's top weight throw spanned 60-8 putting him in sixth place, while also eclipsing the previous Miami mark by five inches. The Georgia native also took 10th in the shot put behind senior Will Stanley (Cleveland, Ohio/Trinity) in seventh (52-1 1/4). Corgiat paced the field in the 600m, crossing the line in 1:22.80, ahead of freshman Eric Sylvester (Cleveland, Ohio/St. Ignatius) in second place.
Corgiat also took second with the 4x400 relay, teaming with Sylvester and sophomores Eric Steyer (Defiance, Ohio/Defiance) and Chris Gregg (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg) to complete the distance in 3:23.94. Individually, Steyer posted a second-place finish in the 800m (1:53.82). Another second-place finisher for the RedHawks was senior Erik Reynolds (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota East) in the high jump. Reynolds cleared 6-8 1/4, while freshman Tom Hermann (Upper Arlington, Ohio/Upper Arlington) and sophomore Kyle Kraus (Kingsville, Ont./Kingsville) took third and fourth, respectively.
Freshman Brad Graham (Braidwood, Ill./Reed-Custer) led a contingent of four RedHawks in the top-10 of the 3,000m with a time of 8:42.02, as three more were among the rtop-finishers in the mile run. Senior Jerry Claunch (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota East) and sophomore Steve Schilling (St. John, Ind./Lake Central) finished together fourth (4:22.03) and fifth (4:22.12), respectively, to lead the Red and White.

Miami completed its mini-indoor season, and now has March off before opening its outdoor season at the Duke Invitational, April 2-3.
