2005-06: Cross Country -- Ran only in the season-opening Dayton Flyer 5K Challenge (Sept. 3) ... finished 11th on the team and 40th overall in Dayton (16:34). Track and Field -- Did not compete.
2004-05: Cross Country -- Ran in three races, finishing fourth among RedHawks at the Miami Invitational in 26:25 ... top 8K time was the following week at Notre Dame, where he finished in 26:15 ... Track and Field -- Ran his only 10K of the year at the MAC Championships, where he finished 13th in 32:23.03 ... competed in either the 3K or the 5K at six other meets between indoor and outdoor seasons ... came in second in the 5K at UC Irvine in 15:18.14 ... top 3K time was 8:45.59 at Indiana's Billy Hayes Invitational, where he came in fifth ... top 5K time was 15:15.32 at the Miami Invitational, where he finished seventh.
2003-04: Cross Country -- Lone freshman competing for Miami in cross country ... ran a season-best time of 25:41 at the NCAA Preview Invitational ... took 11th in first collegiate race at Flyer 5k Challenge ... highest finish of the year was eighth at the Miami Invitational ... finished 51st at MAC Championships. Track and Field -- Won an All-Ohio Championship, his first collegiate win, pacing the field in the 10,000m ... Finished second in the 5,000m at the Southern Ohio Cup ... Added three more top-10 finishes on the season, including ninth in the 10,000m at the MAC Championships.
High School: Cross country team went undefeated, finished third in the nation, number one in the state ... earned first team all-state honors as a senior ... as a junior, team went undefeated and finished second in state ... named second-team all-state and first all-conference ... qualified at the state track meet in four events, taking fourth in the 3200 as a senior ... high school teammate of Ryan Smith.
