OXFORD, Ohio - Freshman Paul Ricard (Bowling Green, Ohio/Bowling Green) was named the Mid-American Conference's Male Swimmer of the Week for the week of Nov. 24, the league office announced today. For Ricard, it is his first career award, while he is the third RedHawk to receive the honor this season.

Ricard continued the hot start to his collegiate career, picking up three wins on the weekend. A distance swimmer, Ricard remained perfect in both the 500 and 1000 freestyle events, winning both at Wright State on Friday with times of 4:43.69 and 9:45.14, respectively. On Saturday, Ricard won the 200 fly, and finished second in the 50 free to round out his weekend.

Senior Andrew Keefe (Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Xavier) and junior Peter Donohue (Cincinnati, Ohio/Turpin) previously won back-to-back awards for Miami on Nov. 3 and Nov. 10.

The RedHawks have the Thanksgiving weekend off before returning to action in the Miami Invite. Miami hosts the 10th Annual Miami Invitational, Dec. 5-7, at the Nixon Aquatic Center.
