OXFORD, Ohio - For the third time in four weeks, a Miami RedHawks men's swimmer and diving student-athlete has been named the Mid-American Conference's Swimmer of the Week. Diver Chris Heaton (Centerville) earned the honors following his sensational performance last weekend.

Heaton dominated diving events for Miami last Friday and Saturday, winning three of the four events in which he entered. On Friday at Ohio State, Heaton won the three-meter diving competition with a score of 385.58. On Saturday vs. Cleveland State and Notre Dame, Heaton won the only events for the RedHawks, sweeping the one- and three-meter diving competitions with scores of 341.7 and 385.35, respectively.

Heaton joins teammates MIKE CARROLL (Toledo) and DAVE BROWN (Lake Orion, MI) as MAC honorees.

Coach Pete Lindsay's RedHawks will not compete again until December 4-6 when its hosts the annual Miami Invitational.
