Junior Scott Robson (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard South) has been named the Mid-American Conference's Men's Swimmer of the Week for his performances in a split weekend against Ohio State and Buffalo last Friday and Saturday.

Against Ohio State on Friday, Robson was the only Miamian to touch the wall first, taking both the 200 fly in 1:53.64, 2.34 seconds ahead of teammate Michael Donohoe (Columbus, Ohio/Bishop Watterson), and the 500 free, 4.21 seconds ahead of Ohio State's Jason Adler. Miami lost the meet, 139-97.

Against Buffalo on Saturday, Robson contributed to a 147-82 win by winning the 1000 free in 9:50.50, 11.19 seconds ahead of teammate David Hine (Crescent Springs, Ky./Covington Catholic). Robson also earned a silver at the meet in the 100 free as his 48.58 finish was just .18 seconds behind teammate Kestutis Aukstuolis (Hudson, Ohio/Sycamore).

Miami travels to Ball State on Saturday for a 1 p.m. dip, looking to move to 2-0 in the MAC and 2-1 overall.
