OXFORD, Ohio - Senior Andrew Keefe (Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Xavier) was named the Mid-American Conference's Male Swimmer of the Week, the league office announced today. Keefe's honor follows the first week of action for Miami University's men's swimming & diving team.

Keefe won four events over the RedHawks' two dual meets last weekend. He swept both the 100 and 200 freestyle events at Buffalo on Saturday, after claiming first place in the 100 free against Cleveland State on Friday. He also had a first-place showing with the 400 free relay.

The Red and White split its weekend meets, falling at Cleveland State, 136-107, before picking up a league win at Buffalo on Saturday, 135-107.

Miami continues the early portion of its MAC schedule on Saturday, Nov. 1, when Ball State visits Corwin M. Nixon Aquatic Center. The RedHawks and Cardinals hit the pool at 1 p.m.
