In its second meet of the year, Miami University's men's swimming and diving team suffered a 132-111 loss at Southern Illinois University on Saturday afternoon.

The RedHawk divers had a strong showing with one, two, three finishes in both the one- and three-meter events. Junior Chris Heaton won both events with a score of 319.05 in the one-meter dive and a score of 370.27 in the three-meter dive. Senior Ryan Reinke placed second in both events, while freshman Tim Hennessy finished third in both events.

Miami also swept the top three spots in the 1000 yard freestyle. Senior Paul Ricard recorded a time of 9:45.67 to win the event with freshman Darin Smith placing second and junior Scott DuCharme finishing third.

Ricard also finished second in the 200 yard butterfly in a time of 1:54.99.

Miami returns to action at Louisville on Oct. 26.
