OXFORD, Ohio - Junior Scott Robson (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard South) was named as the Miami Men's Swimming and Diving team's Most Valuable Swimmer/Diver at the team's annual awards banquet on Thursday evening. He and fellow junior David Hine (Crescent Springs, Ky./Covington Catholic) were selected as captains for the 2005-06 season.

Six freshmen and a walk-on senior were recognized for receiving their first varsity letters, and Miami's 10 All-MAC honorees from the 2004-05 season received their certificates from the conference office.

In addition to Robson's Most Valuable Award, Ryan McHugh (Sylvania, Ohio/St. Francis DeSales) was selected as the Bill Mulliken Oustanding Freshman, sophomore Jamie Morris (Louisville, Ky./duPont Manual) was presented with the Joe Justus "Scout" Award, and senior Jason Krasula (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg) was given the Captain's Award.

The team finished second at the Mid-American Conference Swimming and Diving Championships the first weekend in March.
