OXFORD, Ohio - A pair of junior divers, Zach Niehaus (Taylor Mill, Ky./Scott) and Eric Teske (Dayton, Ohio/Centerville) have been named to the Mid-American Conference's All-Academic Team for men's swimming and diving. The duo are two of 17 honorees and both RedHawks are first-time selections.

Niehaus carries a 3.42 grade-point average as a general business major, and Teske has logged a 3.41 GPA in exercise science. On the springboards, Niehaus took fourth place in the one-meter competition at the MAC meet, following it up with a silver medal on the three-meter board. Teske placed seventh in the one-meter competition and eighth in the three-meter event. Earlier in the season, Teske qualified for a bid to the NCAA Zone C Diving meet, where he represented Miami two weeks ago with a 27th-place finish on the three-meter board and 31st on the one-meter board.

The team was selected by the MAC's Faculty Athletic Representatives. As a team, the RedHawks finished second at the Mid-American Conference Championships Mar. 3-5 in Oxford.
