REDHAWKS LOOK FOR FIRST MAC CHAMPIONSHIP SINCE 1999: The Mid-American Conference Championships come to Oxford on Mar. 3-5 as the RedHawks look for their first team title since 1999. Eastern Michigan has won 23 of the last 25 titles, and the RedHawks are the only team to keep that from being a perfect quarter-century. Miami won the league meet in 1997 and 1999.

MEET PARTICULARS: The MAC Championships start each day, Thursday through Saturday, at noon with preliminary events and again at 7 p.m. with finals in those events. Diving begins in the break after the preliminary swimming events have completed. Adults can buy all-session passes for $25 or pay $5 for single session entry. College students and those between 12-17 years of age can purchase tickets for $3 each, and those under 12 are $2 each. Heat sheets and color meet programs will also be on sale at the meet.

NOT THE LAST MEET FOR THESE TWO: Senior Peter Donohue and junior Eric Teske qualified earlier this year to compete in the NCAA Zone C Diving meet, held Mar. 11-12 at Purdue.

REDHAWKS TEST THEIR DEPTH AT HOUSE OF CHAMPIONS MEET: A handful of Miami swimmers competed at the House of Champions meet hosted by IUPUI, Feb. 17-19 in Indianapolis, Ind.

STORYLINES:
1. Peter Donohue DEFENDS HIS MAC DIVING TITLE: Senior diver Peter Donohue is Miami's only returning individual champion, having taken the one-meter board with 308.35 points. The runner up was three-meter winner and three-time MAC Diver of the Year, Robert Kirchbaum of Ohio, who had 283.35 points. Kirchbaum returns to the meet this year, but only as a presenter of a diving event medal
