Eastern Michigan Spoils RedHawks' Perfect MAC Record: Miami knocked off Buffalo, Ball State and Ohio in Mid-American Conference action before heading into the final conference dual meet of the year at Eastern Michigan, but the host Eagles spoiled Miami's bid to end the conference season at 4-0 with a 149-92 win. Miami won three events of the 13 contested, including both diving events. Junior Eric Teske won the three-meter dive while defending conference champion Peter Donohue won the one-meter event. In the lanes, sophomore Griffin Marshall won the 200 Breast.

Last Meet Before MAC Championships: The RedHawks test their depth one last time at the Midwest Conference Championships in Indianapolis this weekend, an event hosted by IUPUI. This year the event is called the House of Champions meet, and it begins each day Thursday through Saturday with preliminary events at 10 a.m. and finals starting at 6 p.m. Diving events are scheduled to start at 1 p.m. and go until before the swimming finals start.

Last Year's Midwest Conference Championships: Miami earned fifth place at last year's Midwest Conference Championships, picking up 221 points. Western Illinois, IUPUI, Eastern Michigan and Valparaiso came in ahead of Miami, with Vincennes behind. The RedHawks use the meet to develop up-and-coming swimmers while their top performers rest up for the MAC meet.
