Final Stats

EVANSVILLE, Ind.--Miami University's men's swimming and diving team opened its 2007-08 campaign with at 152-88 win at Evansville.

The RedHawks won 10 of the 13 events, including one, two, three finishes in the 200 yard freestyle and the 200 yard IM and one, two finishes in the 200 yard medley relay and 200 yard freestyle relay.

Senior Chase Mortimer, freshman Darin Smith and junior Scott DuCharme swept the top three spots in the 200 yard freestyle with Mortimer posting a first-place time of 1:46.93.

Freshman Tommy Janszen, sophomore Dave Brown and sophomore Austin Kosier swept the top three spots in the 200 yard IM with Janszen recording a winning time of 2:01.12.

Junior Jason Bank took the 1000 yard freestyle in 10:12.13, while junior Zac Siegel won the 50 yard freestyle in 0:22.20. Sophomore Robert Jackson won the 100 yard butterfly in 0:52.72, and senior Chase Mortimer won the 500 yard freestyle in 4:58.83.

Sophomore Michael Carroll took the 100 yard breaststroke in 1:01.84, and senior Ryan Reinke won the one-meter dive with a score of 236.25.
