Final Stats

The Miami men's swimming and diving team ended their season in fourth place at the Mid-American Conference championships in Buffalo, N.Y. on Saturday with 446 points behind Eastern Michigan, Ball State and Toledo. Senior Kelly Ball (Granger, Ind./Penn) earned Senior Swimmer of the Week after a spectacular final season, the MAC coaches announced on Saturday.

Sophomore Peter Donohue (Cincinnati, Ohio/Turpin) started the day off by taking fourth place in the three-meter diving event with 439.25 points to give Miami 15 overall points.

Sophomore Jason Krasula (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg) took fourth in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:51.59 after taking the same place in the morning prelims.

In Miami's best race of the day, Ball and junior Andrew Keefe (Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Xavier) went three-four in the 200-yard butterfly with times of 1:50.26 and 1:50.65, respectively. Both had placed the exact same in the prelims.

In the RedHawks final top-five finish of the season, senior Dave Bergan (Cincinnati, Ohio/Princeton) and freshman Aaron Wuensch (Allen, Texas/Plano East) combined with Ball and Keefe to take fourth in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
