OXFORD, Ohio - Ten different swimmers claimed individual events for the Miami men's swimming and diving squad, which also won the two relay races over Ohio University on Friday evening to take a 177-119 MAC victory and earn a 3-0 conference record. The RedHawks are 7-3 overall heading into next weekend's dual meet at perennial MAC power Eastern Michigan.

Senior Jason Krasula (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg) started out Miami's winning 200 Medley Relay foursome on senior night at the Nixon Aquatic Center while freshman teammates Theo Kuczek (Deerfield, Ill./Deerfield) and Ryan McHugh (Sylvania, Ohio/St. Francis DeSales) and sophomore Justin Marcy (Daytona Beach, Fla./Fairfield-Ohio) turned in a 1:35.09 finish. Ohio took the top three spots in the 1000 Free, the following event, but Miami answered by taking the top three in the 200 Free, led by junior Scott Robson (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard South), who finished in 1:44.48. Junior Andrew O'Neill (Rockaway, N.J./Oratory Prep) was on the front of a one-two Miami finish in the 100 Back in 52.62 seconds, and Kuczek led another top-two RedHawk placing in the 100 Breast in 59.29.

The final win in what was a four-event streak came from sophomore Michael Donohoe (Columbus, Ohio/Bishop Watterson), who won the 200 Fly in 1:56.46. After Ohio's Donald Jupp took first in the 50 Free, Miami took seven of the last nine events. Junior diver Zach Niehaus (Taylor Mill, Ky./Scott) won the three-meter competition with 277.65 points, followed by Jupp's second win of the night in the 100 Free. Miami won the next three competitions, with junior Pat Carroll (Toledo, Ohio/St. Francis DeSales) winning the 200 Back in 1:57.89, Blake Norman (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove) winning the 200 Breast in 2:10.47 and Krasula taking the 500 Free in 4:46.83.

Miami closed the meet with defending MAC one-meter titlist senior Peter Donohue (Cincinnati, Ohio/Turpin) winning the event with 327.50 points, freshman Chase Mortimer (Atlanta, Ga./Woodward Academy) taking the 400 IM in 4:15.74, and a Miami foursome of Marcy, McHugh, freshman Sean McLaughlin (Northbrook, Ill./Loyola Academy) and junior Brian O'Rourke (Beverly Hills, Mich./Groves) touching the wall first in 1:25.44 in the 200 Free Relay. Miami ceded the points from the final event as exhibition.

The RedHawks and Eagles square off next Saturday in Ypsilanti, Mich., as the holders of the last 25 MAC titles meet one month before the MAC Championships are held in Oxford.
